How to adopt
Check out the profiles of our adoptable animals.
If you think one of our animals is a good fit for you, click “Apply for Adoption” on their profile and fill out the application! Or fill out our general application for dogs or cats.
We will review your application, and if you are a good fit, we will reach out to schedule a meeting between you and the animal.
After a successful meeting (or more than one, if needed), we will schedule a time to finalize the adoption of your new friend!
Adoption Requirements
The following requirements must be met in order to adopt from Adoptable Friends, NFP.
Must be at least 21 years of age, and have a valid photo ID.
Provide proof of vaccines and spay/neuter records for any other pets in the home.
Provide landlord approval (including copy of lease) if you rent your residence.
Bring each resident of your household to meet the animal you wish to adopt, including your current canine companions.
Each adoption is made at the discretion of Adoptable Friends, NFP and is done so in the best interest of the animal.
On Adoption Day
Please allow time to finalize your adoption and complete all necessary paperwork with our adoption counselors.
Bring your valid photo ID.
Bring a payment method for the adoption fees.
If adopting a dog, please bring a buckle/martingale collar with tag containing phone number and/or email, leash, and harness.
If adopting a cat, please bring a cat carrier.
