Skills for Success

Adopted dogs can easily be stressed their first several weeks home and may show behaviors not indicative of their true heart. Adoptable Friends recommends to begin a training regimen with a professional trainer within the first week home with your new family member. The skills your dog acquired with their foster parent can be continued so you can

adopted is teaching them skills that will transfer into their new home! We call these our Skills for Success. The skills are outlined in your foster handbook on page 15. In addition, we have also provided links to resources for other common training issues.
